Goodbye 2008.

welp its the last day of the year.
This year i've had accomplishments and failures.
I've tried new things and stayed away from old things.
I've seen friendships break up then find their way back to how it used to be.
I've had more alcohol than ever. lol
&& umm yeah that pretty much sums up 08.
Lets see what 09' has in store.

Got Milk?

Ever get ready to have a bowl of one of your favorite cereals so you pour a super big bowl go to the refrigirator and suprise N0 MiLK. That really urks me because you don't want the cereal to go to waste and you don't want to pour it back in the box. Everytime that happens to me I feel like Craig from Friday or like i'm in one of those Got Milk Commercials.

Aol Instant Messaging (AIM)

Whoever thought an instant messaging service could be the epitomy of someones life. Along with technology aim has evolved into taking a huge impact on peoples lives. It is like a more evolved form of text messaging.

To be honest it is also very addictive and has both pros and cons for teenagers in this day and age. It is almost like a drug because its like we have to have one. Think about it when guys pick up girls or want to talk to them now the statistics of them asking for your number anymore has reduce they usually ask if you have aim lol.

The biggest problem with aim is the away messages and icons especially if you are in a relationship. If your significant other see's you putting a person of the other sex in your away message or a picture on your icon conclusions are automatically jumped too and there you go another problem on your hands. And its always kind of funny too me too see people who be having the away messages one week talkin bout they love they baby one week then the next week its either f'k niggas or girls(k) lol.

What I never got is why people send subliminal messages on away messages when they have the persons screen name or can simply tell them what they feel in person. Pretty dumb.

But aim has also been a good buisness factor for music promotion or partys or people simply selling stuff. And best believe darn near anybody with a sidekick has aim and a lot of people get caught slippin. They walk around with they head in they phone aimin not paying attention and bam there yu go somebody gets you for ya phone because you ain't payin no kinds of attention. Trust me I know from experience but the person who tried to rob me was pretty dumb because he tried to catch me when I was walking home not knowing I knew exactly who he was. Didn't even know how to rob me because I still had my phone in the end. Smh.

But yeah I don't really think when aim was created that the makers had any of these intentions haha. But if they did then they really put they're minds together for this one.

Church Sundays

Sundays are known for they're church mornings, relaxing afternoons and Sunday dinners. Being that it is Sunday morning I should be at church right now. As bad as it seems i'm not and I don't really attend church regularly anymore. Smh @ me. I kno rii. Don't get me wrong its not like every now and then I don't get this urge to just want to get up and go because the getting up part won't be too much of a hastle its the getting there thats the problem. I have no source of transportation. My moms used to get the family up every Sunday for church but she got tired of everybody complaining and being late to every service. I guess you can say we were on black ppl time lol. But after that although we did stop going to church every weekend up till I was like 14 I would spend Saturday nights at my aunts house and attend Sunday school with my younger cousins the following morning. I guess my aunt got tired of taking us. What a coincidence lol. But the last time I did go to Sunday school I went through the procedure of what was neccesary to get baptized. Till this day i still want to get baptized but idk how to get that arranged. I have never really been too religious although I believe in God, but I'm just not the hypocritical type to sin Monday through Saturday and then go to church on Sundays acting like i'm this perfect Christian. I know a lot of people do that especially older aged women lol. They will gossip and snoop up buisness about people Monday through Saturday and then Sunday go to church acting like they never do any of that because they are in the "house of the lord". Those usually are the ones who act out and catch the "holy ghost". I used to laugh at that and get slapped in the back of the head for it lol. But its usually funny because you can tell the ones who are just showing out and those who really catch it. I could go on and on about the flaws that go on at a black church but this post would be too long. Now that i'm a bit older I occasionally will attend church with my bestfriend in my city (i.e. Carson) and it is much more diverse and there is a huge difference. I go too that church and they make you feel like they want you too be there and proud that they made the choice to come as oppose to the church I attended in Los Angeles where they try to make you feel guilty if you weren't there and that you should be. Well I have to go take a shower so yeah, I'll leave it up to you guys. Post and tell me How do you feel about church?

CHiLL SATURDAYz

Usually on Saturday Nights I would be out getting turnt up or having fun. Tonight I wasn't really feeling it because lately I have been out all day everyday and I haven't been able to relax much lately. But tonight well since it is basically Sunday morning now I had a sort of chill night. I was going to go with some of the homies to skate depot but tht didn't work out as planned. Then I get a aim from both of my role models saying lets go and that kind of made me happy because they fell off for a cool 8 months but getting those aims made me feel like it was just like old times where they would come kidnapp me with me having no clue as to where I was going lol. But tonight was kind of relaxing with my squad or as I like to call em' my kuzzo's. We sped off to happy hour at El Torito's and for those who haven't been I recommend that you go because the food is appetizing. Just hope you don't go on a bad night when its really crowded because you might get a sucky waiter. And when my big cuzzo's don't like the waiter just after the first time they do something wrong so its like already an automatic: NO TIP. lol. But yeah the food was good then we went back to my second house for a chill lil movie night. We watched Mission Impossible followed up with Knocked Up. For those who haven't seen Knocked Up, I recommend it. "F'K yu H0RM0NES" lmao classic line.

Failure

This is one word that a lot of people are scared of. This year I guess you can say I overcame that fear. Since I have been in highschool math has never been my favorite subject. I have always struggled in it. For the first time this year I recieved an F on my report card and it was because of math analysis. Too me math is a bit extra'd out because of all the extra formula's and theorems that really aren't necessary. But hey thats just my opinion because I know there are people who actually love math. Not only am I not good at math but i'm not good at test taking either so this year's math class was just like a bad combination for me because in order to pass the class you have to pass the test. How Wonderful. NOT! but not only did I fell in math I failed my permit test three times like I told you in my previous post. I don't know anybody who enjoys failing without it being by choice. I say by choice because people actually choose to ditch instead of going to class so basically they are choosing to fail. lol. But yeah this commercial actually made me feel like failure isn't technically a bad thing.

I agree giving up is way harder than trying because if I would have gave up trying to pass my drivers test than I would have felt like I was choosing to fail which I don't ever want to feel like. So just like I kept trying on my permit test, I am going to keep trying to pass my math class.

MUSiC TiP

Ok so for christmas all iWanted was a microphone to record, a new board and the supras that I decided I wanted. My mom got me the mic but got the wrong type (i.e. one for chatrooms and not recording) but since I have the money I am just going to buy my own. I have my eye's set on this mic package right here.
It comes equipped with a usb cord(being that it is a usb microphone, thank god technology is making things simpler because with my lazy ways lol i don't want to have to go about hooking everything up), Supports 8 kHz, 11.025 kHz, 22.05 kHz, 44.1 kHz, and 48 kHz sampling rates (which kanye is known for doing with his beats), its on program and even a pop filter for just the very low price of a little bit over a hundred dollars. Over the years I have just been either writing my lyrics and freestyles on paper, in my sidekick, or the computer and recording it in my phones,or on camera so everyone who knows me should already know i'm ecstatic(if i spelled that right lol) to have my first mic. I also know some very talented people musically who have never recorded but have either freestyled for their peers and family or sang for gigs and etc. So if I get this mic I will be glad to have some of my friends just come in and express themselves on my mic recording and having a good time. But here are some of the recordings of me and others that went down in 08'.

DGK

Ok, so as of a few days ago DGK and KAYO CORP. are officially my favorite skateboarding sponsors. Almost a year ago when I peeped the story behind Stevie Williams and how he became pro is what reeled me in and I was like dude is sick and actually worked for his. The DGK deck I own was the 3rd deck I owned but the new deck I saw the other day was what officially made me only want to skate DGK. They have always had sick graphic designs for their decks, but everybody who knows me well, knows I love skateboarding and that I am a huge fan of Tupac so this combination just put the icing on the cake. So yeah DGK is pretty dope too me.

Fly Cayla is officially back on the blogspot bizz. When I Started this blogspot back in late September early October I guess I wasn't as motivated to follow through with posting as I thought I was. But hopefully I am now. While I was M.I.A. on the blogspot world I did check out a lot of other blogspots though and see how dedicated people were to their postings. I also whitnessed a lot of creative things on other people's blogspots. So maybe that can help in taking part to my motivation in posting. Also while I was gone a lot of major events occured around the world and with my personal experience. On November 4th, I along with other people whitnessed history being made with Obama becoming president but along with that came a lot of jokes being made about it and a lot of ignorance but hey what more can you expect from people making uneducated views and statements that are just out to the extreme max. Also living in a world of numerous people, you still have people showing hatred or what I like to say now to replace that is we still have biggots in the world so it would figure that they would vote YES on PROP 8. As I heard someone say, which also gave me a little chuckle just because it was true is "WE GAVE YOU A BLACK PRESIDENT AND NOW YOU WANT GAYS MARRIED TOO WE CAN'T GIVE YOU BOTH AT ONCE, SO ITS EITHER A BLACK PRESIDENT OR GAYS MARRIED." and it was the black president. So yes just being aware that there are still people who discriminate others who live a different lifestyle than they do with no educated facts to back up the reasoning behind why they do it. Personal events that happened to me while I was M.I.A. on the blogspot world is that my cousin went to jail, typical stereotype of what most people would see for the young black male. The fact that he didn't do anything and was just another person in the wrong place at the wrong time is what got me though. Fortunately, my brother came home from college safely yesterday, also I passed my permit test yesterday. Yes after taking it 3 times before I passed, I guess I got tired of having to return to the DMV, so I figured I better take the simpler approach and just read the Califronia Drivers Handbook which I refused to do before because I was being lazy. But it payed off and opposed to the -13,-12, and -10 I only had a -3 this time. Another thing I did was after two years I tried the love life thing out again and just as I thought it wouldn't before I did go into it, it didn't work out. Note that when you do get into it with someone who is going to be your significant other they have to be motivated to being ready too. But i'll talk about that in another blog. (Thinking... hmm is there any other topic I need to touch)Oh and as we all know Christmas just passed, personally for me this Christmas was the worst. But I am grateful for the things I recieved and I just think that it could have been worse so its all good. But I hope everybody is having a happy and safe holiday.
