Post Office

Ok so its official the post office is not the place to be.
Especially on a Saturday. Who would think the post office would be so packed.
Its just a bunch of long lines. Then to top it off,
I was standing between two strange people lol. Now I don't want to make a hasty
generalization that all post offices will have wierd people but from what i've seen today man who would think a post office couldn't be a strange place.
We had to go to get insurance for my cuzzo car and so we were standing in there for a good 15 minutes and so my cousin is like you have to patient are you patient? I was like not really we've been standing here for the longest lol then some lady behind us was like is that your little sister and my cousin was like no its my cousin in a nice way lol so then as we move up I see this lady in front of me and she keeps staring at me and smiling so I get disturbed smile back then turn my head lol so then like 2 seconds later she starts trying to make conversation and I notice this little gold thing sticking out from between her teeth so i'm just thinking like wtf lol but she was nice but it was akward talking to her with that thing sticking out of her tooth but word of advice never bring up things like tht too people you don't know especially in a post office because they could be crazy and then you could end up in a bad predicament thats all i'm saying lol but yeah and thenif you look around on the walls you could see them trying to sell 15 dollar sports pictures of teams winning championships and i'm like man why would I pay for this in a post office when I can go home and print it out for free. but yeah 30 minutes in a post office is not the buisness. Actually this experience made me even less excited about getting older because this is what you have to do for responsibility lol. But i'm just glad I have role models to experience this type of stuff with now. So I know not to look forward to it later.

But yeah this was the post office by the Carson mall so beware ya'll.

Lake View Terrace

Ok So overall I give this movie 10/10.
Bomb Movie.
Either that or it was just the people I watched it with ,
that made it that much better.
But I think it was both.
I'm not going to give the movie away but i'll just say it was bomb.
Great story line. Great plot. And on top of that the nice touch of comedy
here and there topped it off.
Samuel L. Jackson acted his nagas off.
This goes up there on that Coach Carter list for me.
I remember I could just watch that movie everyday and recite every line.
Still can! It never gets old.

Change

These past two days have been very important. Yesterday was the holiday of the late great Martin Luther King Jr. may he rest in peace and Today was the inaugaration(spell check?). I remember back in elementary school learning about the story of Martin Luther King and what he did not just for black people but for the world. How he would boycott, give motivational and inspirational speeches, how he put his family in a peril of a situation and made a sacrifice for a better world. I can remember thinking this is no ordinary man and for a young child learning all of this can put so much through your head. As I continued to grow older and move on from grade to grade not only from school did I learn about my culture but Thank God for my dad because although he may erk my nerves at times I learned so much from him too. I've tooken trips to the south and I've been to the muesem in I beleive it was Montgomery where they had a display of The Rosa Parks bus and it was crazy because you walk on the bus and if you sit down out of no where you can hear the bus driver tell you the same thing he told Rosa Parks and it was like you were actually there when it happened. I've learned about stories such as Ruby Bridges, Emmit Till, and the Little Rock 9 and in My lifetime even whitnessed stories like the Jena 6 and whitnessed a disatorous event such as Katrina. I've not only visited muesems but i've been to plantations where my ancestors who were once slaves but in so much hard work. Crazy how at a time Black people weren't even allowed to vote and now we get to whittness our first black president. Had you asked me when I was younger did I ever think I would get to see a black president I probably would have said its possible but I'll believe it when I see it and now I can say I've seen it. This is not only a celebration for black people but for people all around the world. As of Nov.4th, 2008 and Jan.20th, 2009 i've seen people from all around the world, all ethnicties, have came together in unison to celebrate this historical event and not only is this a new opening of change but it is now a new reason for black people, latino, asians, pacific islander and just everyone to stop making excuses for why they can't do something because this just shows that you can do anything you want if you put your mind too it. Everyday I walk out the door I'm proud of who I am, proud of everything that my people have made possible, proud of all the doors that have been opened for me, and most importantly proud that my people have experienced all these things and sacrificed for future generations like mine and the ones who will come after mines. This past year even though I didn't get to vote I encouraged my friends and family to because even those who didn't vote for Obama still can't change the fact that the world has made history. This past week I heard a phrase saying that we can't change the world unless we change ourselves and well Obama must have changed himself as a person because he is currently changing the world. So with that being said all I have left to say is now when someone tells me to dream big and I close my eyes to envision myself changing the world I will be able to think the phrases YES WE CAN, YES WE WILL and soon enough YES WE DID. =)

I just thought of a creative idea of what to do with my room.
Well in my eyes its creative. Being that I am trying to get my mic,
I got another idea after watching notorious I wanted to get a boombox.
So today I was searching for one on the internet and I ran across a couple
that appeared to be dope in my eyes. But here's one I am really keeping my eyes on.


Then this gave me the idea that if I get some headphones,
that would just top things off. So I remembered Zumiez sales headphones.
But I know most quality headphones run for over a bill. But its worth it to me.

Can somebody tell me what the point of hating on people and being jealous is. It seems like there is a serious illness of jealousy and hate in the world. I don't understand it. I'm starting to notice a lot more as I get older and a lot of people tend to just hate on other people for no apparent reason. The funny thing about haters is that they try to be your friend and then low-key talk shii its funny. Goodbye Christmas Break 08'

Dang so its the last day of Christmas break and it was fun while it lasted.
To sum up my Christmas break pretty much the first week I hung w/ my lil cuzzo and we shopped and kicked it at her crib. I even got my permit before 08' was over. I had a good talk with my role-model Roni for the last motivational talk of the year. I love chillin in her car just kickin it in front of my crib late at night. I gotta give a shoutout to T-Time because she did her thing with the peach cobbler. As for my Christmas it was pretty wack because my brother wasn't home so I just wasn't in the mood. I hit up El Toritos for happy hour one time w/ the squad then saw Knocked Up. New Years Eve was foggy as heck but I was w/ the squad at T-Times house and she had a pretty chill kickback. The following day for the first day of the year w/ the squad again and we busted missions to Red Robins, Best Buy G-Ma house then ended the night at downtown disney taking goofy pictures and seeing Seven Pounds which is a darn good movie if I do say myself. Then the following day I basically kicked it with T-Time at G-Ma house taking down her tree and watching Pimpin Pimpin by Katt Williams. I saw more of my fav kuzzo when my bro got back. My cuzzo Smaccs got out of jail. I started playing video games again after some years and for my last weekend had a fun but serious time with the squad. So yeah here I am. Oh this was all the things I did that were fun so hw isn't included. lol

808's && heartbreaks

Ok so after about a month and a few weeks or so of this album being out I'm deciding to give the new Kanye a chance. I guess its just something I have to get used to because its so different. But it's not like he transitioned into the change with a couple of songs of him maybe trying the singing thing on other people's songs using autotune, he just jumped straight to his first two singles of singing and it was just kind of like hey whoa this isn't you kanye. Then he just through a whole album at us like boom, which I was just like no I refuse to listen to the album because I'm not impressed by the use of the autotune singing. I just felt love lockdown was annoying at first then Heartless too. But after some time I guess I'm used to it a little bit, still not feeling it though. But I guess I'm going to try to give it a shot and listen to it. Its just going to be a bit difficult to listen to the whole album w/o switching a track because first you get rap classics like college dropout, late registration, and graduation from kanye then he just throws this whole singing autotune album of 808's and heartbrakes at you and its just like uhmm no. But yeah I'm going to listen to it and let you know what I think. I really thought it had something to do with his mother passing away maybe he was depressed and said I need to try this. But hey thats just what I think I mean idk dude so I couldn't tell you personally. But yeah i'll let you know my review.

Clean Slate

Because I noticed myself that I do curse to much now in my opinion.

My Laptop. =)

Sooo after about a month and a half of going through the procedure to get my laptop fixed, being on the phone with foreigners(no racist though), taking my laptop and hardrive to the shop, getting a new hardrive, losing all my old info and pictures and videos, and having to reconnect my internet access to my houses wireless system, I finally have my laptop back and I am starting fresh. I'm so happy. =) No more having to be annoyed on the desktop in the kitchen. yayy.

Early Morning && Late Night Saturdays

Ok so I just got home from a long day.
Had too wake up at six so that I could go to my links program.
Basically that once a month meeting I have to go to on a Saturday.
It was basically the same repetitive teen health conference that I went to last year.
If I didn't have my best friend Mel, it would have been the most boring thing.
But after that we hit up a food place called Lomelis and had the spaghetti special and some pizza. Pretty good. Then Mel got this dope little snow hat and some classic black glasses.
Then we busted missions to a couple aunts houses. etc. etc.
But ended with a chill night w/ Mel, myself, Roni, and Tyler.
Girls Night out basically. It was chill though we had a bunch of serious moments.
We hit up Dennyz and I was feeling pretty nice and payed. But I don't really mind anyway cause I know they would do the same for me. They pretty much do anyway so you know. Just know I wouldn't do that for many people. I love them. Oh yeah and bare with me because i'm kinda buzzin off of some Jose Cuervo. I guess i'm a light weight since I only had 3 swigs. Wait is a swig smaller than a sip? Because if a sip is bigger then I guess I had 3 sips lmao. But whatever. So you know how I told you in a previous blog my curfew was 11. Well I was ready to deal with the consequences of getting in trouble for being late because I felt I was being irresponsible. Too be honest it takes a lot for me too say that too. But like I said responsibility is a part of growing up. But umm yeah so like I get home and guess what! I'm not even in trouble. I guess God was on my side tonight knowing that I'm growing up and realizing when I am being responsible and when I am being irresponsible. So yeah I'm pretty darn happy. And then to top that off she comes in my room five minutes later and shows me my laptop is fixed. That really topped off my night. Soooo how was your Saturday? lol

Ok so low-key iBeen waiting on this movie since last year. I remember when they ended casting calls and picked the guy they wanted to play biggie. Honestly I think this movie will be one of the movies that I want to see more than once. I've never really been a "fan" of biggie i've always been more of a tupac fan, but there are those selective few songs I can listen too and not skip. That includes Big poppa(which is the first song I heard by him off the hardball movie), sky is the limit, hold ya head, juicy, and runnin ft. pac. I think watching this movie for the first time will be just as intense as listening to hold ya head for the first time because after you see it once its just like whoa and then after you see it the next few times you still get the same intensity. Another reason i'm convinced it will be good is because of the actors. The actors seem like they fit the role. At first I wasn't convinced with the guy they picked for Biggie because he was too light-skinned but his actings skills have convinced me otherwise. Also the fact that Angela Bassett will be playing Voletta Wallace(biggies mom) and pretty much every role Angela Bassett plays hits hard. So yeah I'm looking forward to seeing this. Like you can't tell though lol.

Ok so I was listening to the Comeback Season mixtape by Drake and its very good I must say. Seems like Drake put a lot of time into it which is a good thing. But uhh just to inform you this post isn't about Drake lol. I know why did I lead you on right? haha but it is about one of the songs he did a verse over, which was the Teach you a lesson song by Robin Thicke. I never really made a big deal of Robin Thicke but I did listen to a few of his songs before and I liked them. He's more of my best friend Mel's favorite artist. But for some reason I was listening to teach you a lesson and then I saw what people mean for the first time when they say somebodies voice is so good it makes you wanna cry. Like literally his voice on that song was just so beautiful to the point it could have made me cry. IT DIDN'T but it could of lol. I'm just saying. I mean it was so soothing. Ok so a year ago today was one of the most emotional days of my life.
After 15 years of living with my older brother he went off to college and I would have to get used too being the oldest child in the house. You know what that meant?
More responsibility. Yes responsibility is a hard thing to face for a lot of people but we all have to face it one day. But out of all the tears and laughs of this day I created one thing good. To cope w/ the responsibility I created my own acronym entitled G.E.E.S yu might have seen or heard me use it b4 saying i'm a gEE or i'm a gEE w/ 2 e's or something but yeah its basically my own little saying and I got other people saying it too. It stands for GEES.EXPRESSING.EMOTIONS. Yes I have copywright papers of it too lol. so yeah if you see somebody using that know that you heard it here first. Tell em' Fly Cayla created that.

Video Game Anger Management

Ok so I been playin the xbox 360 a lot lately and it brought back a lot of memories.
Like on some real stuff it takes over my emotions lmao. When I start doing something bad iFeel like I have tourettes because I start yelling at the tv. But then when I do good it brings my hopes back up lmao. Crazy right? Like today My fav kuzzo told me I need anger management and I was like naw I don't video games just take over my emotions like he couldn't tell lol. But yeah I like how they made this system for lazy people lol. You don't even have to get up to turn it on you can just use your controller. Dope rii? and then I like the fact that its like a computer. Makes a lot of things easier. Good job Microsoft haha.

Its alrii to me. Not really the best. Well at least I would expect better.
Wasn't really an eye catcher for me, like it was more of a one looker.

Root Beer Festival

I did a search for root beer festivals in this great land and came across only one. It is hosted by the "Root Beer Saloon" located in Alto Pass, Illinois. This year the festival is scheduled for August 18th and 19th. The saloon it self looks pretty cool and ironically enough they serve Sprecher Root Beer Soda on tap along with two other micro-brews. If anyone plans to attend this one or knows of any other root beer festivals please let us know. Right now I'm thinking I might need to take a drive to Alto Pass this summer. New Years Day

So I followed New Years Day up w/ the squad. We was getting geeked up all day. Just not literally lol. We hit up Red Robins and they have bomb food. Followed that up w/ a few missions to G-MA house and Best Buy. Then we hit up Downtown Disney and its just as magical as Disneyland just not as expensive lol. We was around there acting a fool. For those who haven't been to downtown Disney they have a whole bunch of clothing shops. They have an AMC theater, a jamba juice, several restaraunts and several musical set-ups. We also hit up the AMC and saw the movie seven pounds. For those who are fans of Will Smith I recommend it because he acted his a** off in that movie. Even if you're not a fan of Will Smith I still recommend it because the movie teaches a good life lesson. It was so good it brought a tear to my eye lol but that doesn't leave this blogspot. Say it with me what goes on here at my blogspot stays here at my blogspot lol. But yeah my first day of the year was pretty jerkin. How bout yours?

Curfew

Man "curfew" is the one thing I hate. Too me that word is like putting a time limit on how much fun you can have. I understand some people need it because a lot of teenagers act like they have no sense in public. But I like to exclude myself from that group. I hate the fact that my mom gives me a curfew when its like i'm coming home to do nothing. So whats the point. I could see if I was never going to come back but I am.(and I know I sound like a spoiled white child right now but its not like that lol) But its like I'm responsible, i'm not going to go kill anybody so just let me stay out and have my fun while I can. Like i'm basically two years from being 18, i'm legally old enough to drive, I don't smoke, I drink but I won't come home drunk. So yeah I just despise that word and especially on Christmas Break.
